Safeguarding children and young people
Safeguarding children is the action we take to promote the welfare of all children and protect them from harm. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children involves:
- Protecting children from maltreatment
- Preventing impairment of children’s health and development
- Ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care
- Taking action to enable children to have the best outcome (working together 2015)
Safeguarding children and young people refers to the activity that is undertaken to protect all children who are suffering or at risk of suffering significant harm.
Douglas Grove Surgery recognises that all children have a right to protection from abuse and neglect and the Practice accepts its responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all children with whom staff may come into contact.
Clinics & Services
The doctors and nurses hold various clinics throughout the week to help patients with the control of their disease and to advise on prevention of ill health. If you have any queries on how to access these services, please telephone the surgery and our receptionists will endeavour to assist you.
